Navibot Replacement Gear for Side-Brush

This replacement gear I designed to replace the broken side-brush gear within my Samsung Navibot.  As you can see on the picture below it replaces the brass-like-gear (the one on that picture is not yet broken). For me the top part in which the side-brish is screwed broke while cleaning.

You should print this in a strong material, PETG was not good enough for me, I've printed this in Prusament PCB Blend. If you do so make sure your print on the PEI sheet and put some glue on it as a separation layer (PC Blend tends to stick pretty well 😉 ).

To install the replacement part unscrew the 2 screws marked in the image below. Next you can open the entire side-brush body by applying some gentle force in the area of the right screw on the picture. It's plastic and there's electronics and wires inside so be careful not to break it! Also don't try to pull out the brush-arm or you will break more gears!

The easiest way to install the new gear is but putting it in the top part that you took off. The gear should nicely fit in the factory-gear (white). Make sure you guide the power cables of the motor properly around the plastic tubes instead of over them (the might move while opening as in my case)! The bottom circle of the new gear will go (when closing up) right on top the circle that is present in the main body of the Navibot (yellow arrow). You should not care about it, it will fit! To close up the arm assembly again you should hold on to the Hexagon tube that sticks out of the top part and gently push it back on the main arm assembly.

Finally put back the two screws. 

The small hexagon tube is hexagon on the outside (to fit the side brush design that needs to slide over it and because of the hexagon design the brush grips onto it) and round on the inside so you can tap in the existing screw which is an M3x8.
