There are two different desk sets included:
There is a frame/surround included that fits on both trays to allow you to customise them with your own colour - I used pink silk PLA as this was a gift for my wife.
Printing Instructions
These are pretty big print jobs, and because we don't have reliable power supply in my country I broke each desk set down into 3 pieces. I've also included the full desk set model files if you'd prefer to only do a single large print for each.
The model files are labelled with Desk Set 1 or 2 and the parts aren't interchangeable (except for the frame), so make sure that you print the correct parts for the set that you're making.
I printed these with a 0.4mm nozzle at a 0.2mm layer height with 15% infill.
The walls were designed to be 1.2mm thick to make it easier to print with standard 0.4mm or 0.6mm nozzles (i.e. either 2 or 3 lines for wall thickness).
I'd suggest printing the pieces in the original orientation to keep it dimensionally accurate, especially as the pen holders have tight tolerances and may not print well with overhangs.
Assembly
If you print the trays in separate pieces then you can simply glue the pieces together and slip the frame/surround over it.
I used super glue (CA glue) and didn't glue the frame so that it can be changed out if my wife wants a different colour.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
