NOTE: I realized that after using it for a while that you LOOSE Z height for printing. I need to remake it so it mounts on the top V rail and extend outward so it won't interfere with the direct extruder.
Needed a way to mount this cheap filament runout sensor for an (official) Ender 3 Pro direct extruder. I did not want to mount it above the stepper motor (directly on the extruder) as that makes removing filament more fiddly and adds weight to the printing head assembly.
Its tailored to the specific filament runout sensor I had. I only made a mounting hole on the top to allow it to swing around to follow the printing head assembly to avoid any kind of filament bending or add extra strain.
The only ISSUE I have with this is that the jam nut I've screw on the bolt doesn't really help and after a while the nuts just fall off. For now I've been just tightening the nuts every so often 🤷.
