If you only use the #11 blades I'd suggest printing something like kaspertulstrup's design (https://than.gs/m/67913) which actually inspired this design.

My design features
  • holder for the x-acto #1 knife that allows for easy grabification™,
  • 5 compartments to fit different sets of fresh refill blades,
  • an extra vertical display spot for current used blades,
  • slots for magnets to make the blade storage a little safer and more convenient.
Model variants

Provided are different options with or without magnet slots and without the display spot - the magnet-less display spot can be fitted with a magnetic strip like in the showcased photo.

The compartments are designed to fit some arbitrary assortment of blades (pointier, narrower, wider, flatter, etc.) - if you have a specific set of blades you use it should be easy to remix the design and alter the compartments to be more specific to your needs.

In case you want a certain combination of features or some simple alteration that is not in the uploaded models and you are unable to work with the Fuision 360 project yourself, leave a comment with the request and I'll see what I can do :)

Difference from the photos

After printing the model myself (shown in the photos) I have made few tweaks to the models. The refill compartments are shifted back to eliminate blades sticking out past the 1x2 footprint, altered the front right compartment to fit #11 blades better. The handle is at a 60° angle and still sticks out past the 1x2 footprint but I don't find it to be an issue since it is so high.

(Designed based on Zack Freedman's template for Gridfinity blocks)
(Note that the holes on the bottom don't have the hole for screws to go in instead of magnets)
