Benchy Upcycled Spool Display Carousel

Got an empty filament spool? Got an ever expanding Benchy fleet awkwardly displayed? This spinning Benchy display will hold 22 models. 

*This design fits the standard 200mm (outside diameter) x 90mm (inside diameter) spools. It will work with smaller spools but you will need to glue the bottom plate to the spool if the inside diameter is smaller. This is the only place you will need any glue, friction holds the rest together. 

Parts needed:

• 608 Bearing
• Glue for the bottom plate. 

Instructions:

• Print out the BenchyCarouselBottom and make sure it fits the inside of the spool. 
• If not, modifiers / negative modifiers are helpful here to get it just right.
• Print out the rest of the parts.
• Press the 608 bearing in BenchyCarouselRing
• Center the BenchyCarouselTop on top of the filament spool
• Gently press the BenchyCarouselRod into the BenchyCarouselTop and through the spool to the bottom. 
• Screw the BenchyCarouselRing into the BenchyCarouselRod on the bottom of the spool. Don't over tighten! You only need a little pressure to create the needed friction to hold the top. 
• Place the whole unit on top of BenchyCarouselBase. It should spin freely at this point. 
• Screw the BenchyCarouselKnob on the top. 
• Place / glue the two pieces of the BenchyCarouselBottom on the spool. 
• Add Benchys!
