Everyone is a maker

This ring is inspired by the Prusa motto: EVERYONE IS A MAKER. It is provided in two variants Slim and Large: the difference between the two variants is the ring's width, NOT it's size. In order to print it so it can fit wichever finger you want, a conversion table is attached (see images and print instructions).

Print Settings

For FFF printer users: Print it with 0.1 mm layer height and place it on the printbed lying on the side: the Ring is designed in order to make it as much easy to print as possible; no Supports required

For SLA printer users: it shouldn't be difficult to print the Ring with SLA, but, since I don't own an SLA printer yet, I rely on comments for print suggestions

Sizing Instructions

In order to print the Open Gear Ring so it can fit your finger you can simply adjust the scale factor in your slicer in three simple steps:

Measure your finger's diameter (d) or circumference (c) in mm

Find in the attached conversion table image the diameter (or circumference) you just measured and read the corresponding scale factor (f)

Calculate the scale factor yourself using the following formulas:

Knowing your finger's diameter d :

Scale factor f = d / 19.5

Knowing your finger's circumference c :

Scale factor f = c / (pi * 19.5)
