Gridfinity Gooseneck Lamp

This is a 1x1 Gridfinity enclosure for a gooseneck lamp. It works great for adding a little light to your work area, or lighting your printer for watching your print with a camera.

The enclosure itself just has a BNC plug for the lamp, wired to a 12V barrel plug input. BNC plugs are a standard connection for gooseneck lamps used in things like podiums and pro audio mixers.

This requires magnets to stay put, but the magnets handle the lamp just fine, even stretched all the way out.

For the module itself, you will need:

• 1x printed enclosure
• 1x printed lid
• 1x panel-mount female BNC jack - Amphenol 031-10-RFXG1 [Digi-Key]
• 1x panel-mount 5.5mm DC barrel jack - Schurter 4840.2200 [Digi-Key]
• 4x M3 threaded inserts
• 4x flathead M3 screws
• 4x 6x2mm round magnets (Gridfinity standard)

And for a complete lamp, you'll also need:

• 12V power supply [Digi-Key]
• BNC gooseneck lamp [Monoprice]

Assembly is simple.

1. Install magnets and threaded inserts in enclosure
2. Solder hook-up wire to barrel jack - center is positive
3. Install barrel jack in enclosure
4. Install BNC jack in lid
5. Solder connections to BNC jack - center is positive
6. Snap lid in, add screws, and you're done!
