I have long thought of adding feets to they tray. But recently it also broke for me. One staple on bottom broke so now I had to do a fix AND an upgrade at the same time.
This design solves three problems:
The tray comes up a little from desk so you prevent it being soaked in water after use.
You replace the staples which will rust by time.
You add some stability to the tray so it doesn't tip over as easily as original design.
External material needed:
4x small nails
Instructions:
Remove old staples on bottom.
Add feet and clamp it down in position.
Start with front, align and insert nail. Note! Insert nail a little upwards and not parallell to bottom. You don't want to risk cracking the wood.
