A compact yarn gauge to measure wraps per inch (WPI) for knitting or weaving. Has 1in and 1cm sections, so metric weavers aren't excluded :)

Printed with filament change for better letters visibility. Letters are cut 0.8mm deep but you can change colours for the last 0.5mm or so.

I use Adaptive Layers (Variable layer height in other slicers) to get thinner layers closer to the top, where I put rounded edges almost everywhere (the walls of the measuring sections need to stay vertical). You don't have to but you can :)

If you are wondering how it's used for knitting, I have no idea, I don't knit (yet). For weaving you wrap the yarn without gaps or overlaps and then count the coils as you unwind. Then depending on your weave, you use WPI/2 for plain weave and 0.75 * WPI for twills, that's a rule of thumb and can be more nuanced as that. So for my 60WPI yarn in the photo I will need 30 yarn ends per every inch for plain weave, and 45 for twills.
