Dark Master Statue (Malefor from The Legend of Spyro)

A statue of The Dark Master (Malefor) from The Legend of Spyro games.

Fixed, adjusted and segmented for easy printing! Includes PrusaSlicer project files (2.6.0-alpha6) with painted supports (both snug & organic) and other settings!

• The mesh has been fixed and cleaned up.
• Certain features were modified to produce a cleaner print (claws, horns, tail…).
• The wings have been separated, with pegs + holes for easy assembly.
• The base has been separated into multiple segments with a separate alignment dowel to reduce support usage and improve overhang quality.
• A separate version with the dragon and base combined is also available.
• Included PrusaSlicer project files with recommended part orientation and supports.

Instructions

Pick the version you want to print:

• Single base
• Separated base (recommended)

If using PrusaSlicer project files, pick the type of support:

• Snug
• Organic (recommended)

Both versions are available as stl files.

The separated base version is also available as PrusaSlicer 2.6.0-alpha6 project files. These files include recommended print settings, parts oriented for best printing, painted seams and two types of supports to chose (snug or organic). The snug supports use my personal “very hard to remove” settings, so please remember to adjust them for your printer. Organic are using default settings and can be printed right away as-is.

Use glue (CA, epoxy) for assembly.

The pegs on wings might require a bit of sanding to fit, depending on part orientation. This should not be an issue when printing in resin.

Recommended settings

• 3 perimeters
• 10% infill (I like gyroid)
• 0.15 or 0.1 mm layer height
• Refer to .3mf files for part orientation and where to put supports
• Scale 100% or up (lower scale might be too fragile)
