My friend recently purchased the GPD Win 4 and needed a case, but there is none in the market yet other than 3D-printable files. Fortunately, I do 3D printing! So I printed for him and decided to share it here so others might benefit as well.

NOTE:

The grip comes in two slightly different versions:

• Light (slightly thinner and easier for disassemble)
• Tough (thicker and stronger, for long-term use)

Description of GPD Win4 v1.4 Enhanced Grip 3D Printing Kit:

GPD_Win4_Gamepad.STL (not compatible with the official base, the strength and stability are the best, it supports disco while playing games, disassembly and assembly is slightly tight, suitable for long-term fixed use)

GPD_Win4_GP_ST.stl (Compatible with the official base, medium strength and stability, not too good for disco, easy to disassemble)

GPD_Win4_ST.stl (Use with the above file, the official height increaser, compatible with win3, win4 base, need to remove the original backplane)

1. The size of the original machine comes from the 3D scanning file (nominal accuracy 0.05mm). The black machine purchased by individuals is not easy to scan, so the kit size includes a set of white pain machine sticker tolerances. If your machine is also pasted with pain machine stickers, it does not need to be removed .

2. The grip part is scanned from the original Xbox SX handle at 1:1 without any modification.

3. After the back support of the 3D printed part is removed, it is inevitable that there will be various small flaws, and the effect of polishing with a little file or sandpaper will be better. (very easy, just a few minutes)

4. I'm sorry that the current version completely blocks the SD card and joystick mouse mode switching button. There is a big conflict between the hole in that position and the design. The joystick companion is a relatively perfect alternative.

About printing materials:

If you do not have the conditions for home printing and do not know anything about 3D printing, Taobao and Xianyu have many 3D printing services. Select the STL file you need and send it directly to the other party. The size has been checked.
The most recommended are ABS and PLA. The material is light, high strength, and the price is very cheap. ABS has the best strength, and it is difficult to disassemble and install. PLA is not, but it will shrink to a certain extent over time (almost no need to worry about it. ).
Nylon is not recommended as an expensive material, and the resin is too rigid and easily broken. It is also not recommended to choose.

If you have your own printer, add support at 60-65 degrees on the back to ensure the accuracy of the surface that fits the machine. 10%-20% of the internal cube filling depends on your weight requirements, and there is no difference in strength.
