I created this to stop worrying about pulling on the charging cable for my ThinkPad L380. Slides on top of the OEM USB-C plug and can then be inserted as a whole unit. I made the top support thin enough so you can close the lid, though it's still slightly too thick, The cutout on the left side of the model allows the charging light to be visible.
Update:
Revised the model to make the brace stay on properly. The new model has a lip that clips onto the lip around the keyboard and is slightly narrower to fit inside the curvature of the lip. All in all, recommended over the first version as it has much better fitment. As the top part barely allows the display to be closed, I tried to design a model with a thinner top clip. Unsure if it's strong enough, as I haven't printed it yet
Might work for the L380 Yoga, or other similar models but I can't verify that.
Prints either with the text facing down for nice surface finish, or with the oval hole facing down for minimal support needed. Support is needed either way. A raft or brim is highly recommend when printing with oval hole down, due to the small surface area touching build plate.
Test printed in Clas Ohlson Universal Black PLA on my slightly modded Voxelab Aries. 4 mm nozzle, 0.2 mm layer height, 10% rectilinear infill. Pretty solid. Hexagonal or some sort of 3D infill would probably yield a stronger model.
