So I did some research on the Internet to find an alarm clock, and I ended up finding Techkiwigadgets, which I thought was really great. So I started modelling a new case that would accommodate all the electronics, I also wanted to make some modifications to the original case:
- I wanted the USB port and the power supply of the arduino to be accessible without having to disassemble everything.
- I also wanted my daughter to be able to change her ringtone if she wanted to. The microphone and buttons had to be accessible from the outside.
- I also wanted all the modules to be well fixed in the case and that we could disassemble them so that we could change them "more easily" in case of a problem.
A new challenge then came, because among the 3 models offered by Techkiwigadgets, none of them pleased my daughter :(. I had already spent a lot of time on this project. How my daughter is currently passionate about Wednesday Addams, I went on this idea to make her an Addams Family awakening. Thanks to the code very well written by Techkiwigadgets, I was able to understand it and rework it in order to replace the existing sprites with those of the game Addams Familly (Super Nintendo). It took me a lot of time because I am far from being an expert in programming, but I worked very hard, ripped out a lot of nurses and ended up getting what I wanted. It was really an exciting project that brought together modeling, printing, electronics, programming and allowed me to learn new things. Many thanks to Techkiwigadgets for its great work and sharing
