Vacuum Hose Adapter with 45 Degree Bend

This is a vacuum hose adapter for a Dewalt planer with a 45 degree elbow.

I designed this to fit a Dewalt vacuum (I know I'm team yellow apparently) and it has a 45 degree bend to get the hose out of the way. The default set up has the connection coming straight out over the out feed table and it gets in the way. With the extra bend it keeps the hose from catching the wood as it comes out of the planer.  The connections are a press fit for both sides, which means there is some wiggle room on exact dimensions. However, before printing, I would double check the critical dimensions match your application.

Hose Side Diameter: 1.775 inches

Planer Side Diameter: 2.5 inches

Recommended Print Settings: 6 perimeters. The wall thickness is 2.43 mm so should yield a solid part and also decrease the print time.

If you're interested in the exact shop vac I'm using it's a Dewalt DXV09P 5 Gallon Shop Vac. It's not really designed to be used with a planer as it fills up pretty quickly but you make what you have work!
