Update 2024-02-10: Updated the cover design to allow printing the teeth flat on the build plate rather than cantilevered with overhangs. The design should function the same, just improve bed adhesion. I included the original cover design STLs as well (see “_mid.stl” files).
Network cable management bracket. Separates network cable runs and can be screwed to a surface. Supports Cat5, Cat5e, and Cat6 cable types, though smaller diameter cables will be looser between the combs. Screws holes are sized for countersunk #8 wood screws, but similar sizes will work. The network cables are secured down to the comb using a separately printed retaining cover that snaps onto the posts and then hinges from one side. The cover can be opened and closed easily and helps keep the cables in their slots.
STL and 3MF files are included for 4, 8, 12, and 16 cable brackets.
See https://www.printables.com/model/100680-network-cable-comb for the previous version of this comb that uses zipties to retain the cables.
Recommended print orientation is with the comb fingers flat on the build surface, as it is oriented in the STL files. This will make the comb fingers strong without needing too much infill. The face with the screw holes can be oriented vertically without losing much strength. I used 25% infill and 2 perimeters with no issues. Both the comb base and the cover can be printed without support in their original orientation.
Recommended print orientation:
Rafts: No
Supports: No
Resolution: 0.2
Infill: 25%
Filament: PLA or PETG
