Small Dessicant Box with Sliding Lid and Catch

Small desiccant box measuring 56mm x 56mm x 26mm. Lid slides on via dovetail joint, and has catch to lock closed (but can be reopened with a little effort). Air slots are 1mm wide.

The sliding dovetail requires a reasonably well-calibrated printer. If your printer is over-extruding, it may be too tight.

Silica-gel desiccant can be regenerated by baking at 75-90C (167-200F) for a few hours. Since PLA may soften at that temperature, I recommend a higher temperature filament (I used clear PETG.) If you use PLA, you will want to open the box and pour the desiccant into a baking pan for the oven, then return to the box after cooling a bit.
