After 2 years of Warhammer 40k miniature painting and a few iterations I present the Magnetic Miniature Handling System, short M2HS.
The goal of the M2HS is simplified handling of miniatures, subassemblies and finished minis too avoid touching your minis during the painting process.
All parts are magnetized with 8x3 mm neodymium magnets, therefore stackable and one grip is enough for a lot of subassemblies.
Bases can be mounted with putty on the corresponding parts, which also leave room for slots or holes in bases. (Only tested for GW bases 25-50 mm)
For subassemblies with wire mounting a hole can be drilled in the pin_wire_holder and wire glued into it.
Subassemblies mounted to pieces of sprues can be mounted with putty in the putty_holder.
For painting at odd angles I added a riser bar.
The 6x2 mm base insert helps mounting magnets to bases by creating a larger and less smooth surface for glue to stick on to.
I am open to suggestions for new parts to expand the collection!
I also offer print on demand services with shipping in the EU.
Use support for the magnet holes, everything else is straight forward.
You will need 8x3 mm Neodym magnets for the parts.
Some magnets are to small and need to be glued in, but in general push fit should suffice.
If you want to magnetize bases use 6x2 mm magnets.
Make one part your reference for the magnet polarity, so that all parts are stackable.
Push together the 2 bar parts carefully, the will fit tightly.
