I found it very practical to have a holder for two filament spools on my Prusa printer. That made it easy to print with color changes. Unload the first filament, grab the filament of the second spool and load the new filament.
With the Original Prusa Enclosure came a filament spool holder for only one roll. From this holder the filament was guided to the extruder by a bowden tube. And the bowden tube had to be mounted on a new FS-cover on the extruder.
This means, to change the filament, you always had to pull the filament out of the bowden tube, take off the spool and do it reverse with the second filament.
To get my second spool holder back I first disassembled the new FS-cover and attached the original one, whithout the bowden tube. Then I printed the Enclosure spool holders for the left and right side of the Enclosure, which you can find here: https://www.printables.com/model/253406-enclosure-spool-holder-complete
My next step was to design two new filament guides for the case, a left and a right one (which you can find here), similar to the one filament guide that comes with the case. These new guides, just like the original, have a hole at the bottom for easy insertion of the filament. From here, one bowden tube per guide goes to the top of the Enclosure (not along the frame like the original). The short bowden tube, about 34cm long, is guided at the top of the Enclosure by my construction (using zip ties) and then hangs movably above the extruder. This gives me back the flexibility of changing filament quickly, while guiding the filament safely.
To mount the two guides I used the already existing holes in the enclosure, the original nuts and screws, plus some of the spare screws.
The left filament guide is installed instead of the thermometer-bracket and has an opening to accommodate the temperature sensor.
I recently uploaded my models for stiffening the doors of the Original Prusa Enclosure, see https://www.printables.com/model/454279-stiffeners-for-original-prusa-enclosure-doors. If anyone has downloaded these parts: The upper left door stiffener from my other design no longer fits the thermometer position when using the new left filament guide. For this, I created a new matching upper left door stiffener and uploaded it with this filament guides.
