A load cell handbrake for sim racing.

Don't forget to cut the trace on the back of the HX711 to set the update rate to 80 Hz (default is 10 Hz, which is way too slow) BEFORE you solder it to the PCB. I forgot and had to (very carefully) drill a hole in the PCB so I could get at the back of the HX711 to do this.

Base printed in PLA at 50% infill. Upper and lower parts of the lever printed in PLA+ at 50% infil. Hand grip printed in TPU at 15% infill. Elastic block printed in TPU at 40% infill (vary infill percentage to get the amount of spring you want). All parts used Gyroid infill.

Edit: Added \u201cLever Upper Tapered Long\u201d in case you don't like looking at the load cell. It has a skirt that covers it. Definitely looks better that way.

2024.08.08 Edit: As I don't use the handbrake much with the H-pattern shifter, and it occasionally gets in the way, I added a quick release version of the base for my 4080 profile rig. Upper half just lifts out and drops into the dovetail no fasteners required.
