SP-5 V1.1 TD6S Toolhead

This is TD6S upgrade for TwoTrees SP-5 V1.1 (previously Sapphire Plus).

It uses stock head mount.

Two small hole on extruder mount is for USB-ADXL345 made by TriangleLab.

If you planning to use TUN(TriangleLab Unity Nozzle), you can use it by adding 1.2mm spacer when you attach TD6S.

Changes from previous TD6 version

1. TD6S is attached much more rigid than TD6.
2. TD6S nozzle position is different from original nozzle position. (Y -1.5)
3. Beacon mount is added.

Important note

Lead screw will be bumping into part cooling duct.

Option 1. Cut lead screw about 10mm

Option 2. Buy 380mm lead screw

Option 3. Limit printer with firmware setting

BOM (I suggest you have extra fasteners.)

1 x TD6S hotend set (This mod does not require V6 adapter.)

1 x Orbiter 2.0 (You may replace with any other extruder.)

1 x 2m CHC heater cable

1 x 2m CHC thermistor cable

1 x 4010 axial fan (Cable may need to be extended.)

2 x 4010 blower (Can be stripped from stock toolhead)

4 x M2.5x15 Socket head screw (TD6S heatsink)

4 x M3x12 Socket head screw (Orbiter 2.0 mount)

4 x M3x20 Socket head screw (Front mount and rear mount)

4 x M3x12 Button head screw (4010 axial fan)

4 x M2x6 Socket head screw (4010 blower, 6 if you want to attach USB-ADXL345)

4 x M2x12 Socket head screw (4010 blower)

2 x M2.5x8 Socket head screw (Front mount)

10 x M3x5x4 Brass heat set inserts (Front mount and Orbiter 2.0 mount)

Print setting

You should use PETG at least.

4 perimeter(wall) and 5 top/bottom layer, 40% infill
