This is a simple pen! It's light small, and feels great in the hand. It's about the size and diameter of a Parker Jotter, but much much lighter.

The CAM for the bolt action has been refined over a plethora of iterations to create something that feels smooth with a nice click!

To assemble this pen you'll need…

  • A Parker G2 style refill or similar
  • An M3x6 or M3x8 bolt & Allen key
  • A Parker spring, or similar (I used a spring from a pilot precise that I stretched a bit)
  • (OPTIONAL) An M3 Tap - You can just thread the screw into the plastic carefully.

To assemble:

  1. Print out the STL, both parts are merged and in correct orientation. Some printers may benefit from support around the bolt action geometry.
  2. Remove any elephants foot from both pieces using a hobby knife, file, or similar
  3. (OPTIONAL) You may need to run a ¼" drill bit through the back of the pen body if you cannot slide in the button body.
  4. Tap the 2.5mm hole on the button body
  5. Remove any plastic end cap from Ink refill
  6. Slide spring into pen body, followed by refill
  7. Insert the cylindrical button body with tapped M3 hole into the pen body. Make sure that the side closest to the hole is down.
  8. Screw the M3 bolt into button body through the “J" on the pen body (This makes up the CAM mechanism for retraction)
  9. Make sure action is smooth and try different springs if you feel binding.
  10. Test it out and write something!
