X-Carriage designed to allow the use of Voron toolheads, StealthBurner/AfterBurner, with the Kingroon KP3S.

  • Equipped with 3D Touch/BLTouch mount
  • Equipped with ADXL345 accelerometer mount
  • No supports required for printing
  • STEP file available for modification

To use it, replace the “X-Carriage_Plate.stl” part on this page with the “extruder_motor_plate.stl” part included in the ClockWork1 which is the Voron extruder.

*ClockWork1 is provided as part of the AfterBurner.
*Even when using the StealthBurner's hotend and fan assembly, it is used in conjunction with the ClockWork1 in this mod. ClockWork2, provided as part of the StealthBurner, is NOT used.

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • “Safe Z Homing” with a probe such as 3D Touch/BLTouch must be used for homing.
    Using this mod with the stock Z limit switch may damage your KP3S.
    (However, if the leveling screw is extended enough to reach the switch before the nozzle strikes the bed, homing can be done safely without using a probe.)
     
  • The shaft of the KP3S stock E stepper may need to be shaved about 1mm.
     
  • The movable range of the nozzle will change.
    Check the movable range before starting the first print and change the printer's config file settings to match.

    X-axis ─ -3 to 180 mm => -3 to 180 mm (no change)
    Y-axis ─ 0 to 180 mm => -3 to 177 mm (3mm shift)
    Z-axis ─ Max. 204 mm => Max. 186 mm (18mm down)
