I wanted to have a disc retreiver that doesn't take incredible skills to fish a disc out of the water like most other retrievers do, and Adam Davenport's design promised just that.
Additionally, I wanted to be able to put it quickly onto my telescopic retriever stick and store it as well, to avoid the hook getting stuck or just to save space when the retriever is not needed.

The model consists of three parts:

  1. ‘Disc’: This part is attached to the end of a disc retriever stick (or any other stick with an m3 hole.
  2. ‘Holder’: This is a part that slides onto the disc and also stays on the pole, but was printed as a separate part for increased print strength
  3. ‘Claw’: This is the part designed by Adam Davenport, but with an extra part that also slides over the aforementioned disc.

To use this claw, I use a few rubber bands or a velcro band to keep the parts together and take them apart after usage. If you want a more permanent solution, you can opt for zip ties.
