Bought this nice used Puky threewheeler second hand, needed a trippler. Couldn't find any sale, so I designed something for a bucket. I found a suitable bucket. Equipped it with snap-in hinges for removal purposes.

Hardest thing was the retainer, whereas the snapper was quite easy. First draft print showed me options for improvement. Second print as (almost) ideal, one place to finetune with my Dremel. Attached files contain revised version.

Designed in TinkerCad, printed on my Prusa MK3S+, everything in PETG for strength and non-brittleness purpose.

What you need:

  • M4-screw 35mm and self locking nut for snapper.
  • 3 M4 nut rivets for attaching retainer to the frame (tube), I extended lower two holes with Ø6mm, a third hole on top was necessary the the third rivet.
  • 3 M4x20 screws (I chose BHC-type, "Linsenkopf").
  • Secured the 3 screws with Loctite “secure thread”.
  • 6x M5 BHC screws with large washers and 6 heat inserts for the snap-in hinges of the bucket.
  • A steel spring outer Ø 9mm, approx. 18-20mm long, not too strong.

I made my grand-kid happy with that solution, and parents too.
