This is a decorated version of the Hat aperiodic monotile.
It includes three “pipes” joining the √3 sides of that tile. The result is quite mesmerizing, with an aesthetic reminiscent of the Tantrix/Palago-style puzzles and the Celtic Knot-style art.
This version is easy to print, fully reversible and uses less than 1.85 g of material per tile.
It is an open problem to determine which “pipe circuits” can be produced either respecting the “hat aperiodic monotiling rules” or not (i.e. leaving holes).
The author remixed this model.
