This is an adapter designed to mount lenses from cheap broken Point & Shoot cameras on
rangefinder cameras that use the M39/LTM mount like old Leicas.
The design is printed in multiple parts which are correctly oriented for ease of use.
The design will both focus at infinity and safely actuate the rangefinder cam for
somewhat precise focusing.
It is strongly suggested to first print the special screwdriver as it is required for
both breaking-in the parts and adjusting infinity focus.
The parts should be fitted together and worked back and forth until they rotate
smoothly. If the printer is well calibrated, it should be an easy task.
For added smoothness, a tiny bit of molybdenum grease can be added to the Focus
Mount.
!!!ATTENTION!!!:
The Lens Holder part will need to be modified to properly fit the lens housing
you plan on putting on the camera!
Assembly:
1 - Insert the Focus Mount in the LTM Mount.
2 - Insert the Lens Holder in the Focus Mount.
3 - Put one drop of Cyanoacrylate glue on the thread of the Focus Wheel and screw
on the front of the Focus Mount.
4 - Fit lens in the Lens Holder.
5 - Mount assembly on the camera.
6 - Adjust rangefinder so it shows infinity focus.
7 - Adjust lens focus through reverse collimation by adjusting the position of the
position of the Lens Holder with the Screwdriver.
8 - Remove entire assembly from the camera
9 - Put two drops of CA glue on the back of the Lens Holder so that the glue drips
in the threads. This will lock infinity focus in place.
