Enjoy this high-detail, accurately scaled 1:100 scale model of the iconic Hubble Space Telescope.
Several months ago I printed the Hubble model provided by NASA but was disappointed by the lack of detail and accuracy in the model so I set out to make something with a bit more detail.
Details include:
Assembly is pretty simple and straight forward, but I included an assembly guide just in case.
The files for a basic assembly with a curved surface at the bottom of the telescope bore and files designed for the install of a cut or uncut flat hobby mirror for added detail.
Let me know what you think and share any builds.
Thanks
Realistically all of these parts can be printed without support material. I tend to be cautious and used support material on the antennas and enforced supports to prevent the overhang sagging on the bottom edges of the magnetic torque rods.
Various parts require glue for installation post-print. Some sanding may also be required.
All features are undersized/oversized by ~0.3mm for fit.
