This is designed to be symmetrical so that it doesn't matter which way it is used, and is designed with a concave base to sit over the 5mm LED, and then a 2nd spacer can be attached by it's little handle/tang into the square hole so that it is aligned to the same height (see pics for detail) Then you can solder up the joints where they are supported before soldering the rest up (there's 16 solder joints to be made on each completed LED "ring", but if you just solder up just the ones above where these support spacers are, that will hold it level, and if it's not level you can easily reflow one joint to adjust)

The spacer as designed will allow for nearly a 1 meter tall tower.

Print at least 2 of them, and if you lay it on on it's side in your slicer you won't need any supports.
