Fully printable bongos with variable thickness drum heads to create endless combinations of tones. Ergonomic form factor. Traditional bongo assembly method. Two bongo shells (symmetrical) are required for full bongo set. Simple assembly required using (2) 3/8"-16 x 4" square neck carriage bolt, (2) 3/8"-16 wing nuts, and (8) M6 x 14mm thread forming screws. Pilot holes should be drilled using a #12 drill bit to ensure proper screw engagement for drum heads.
Traditional Cajon style bongos use the full wood construction of a Cajon and the variable tonal qualities of a bongo to create a hybrid musical instrument that is versatile and robust. The only downside to the design is the inability to “tune” the drum heads to achieve the exact sound the player may be searching for. With the replaceable heads on these printable bongos, the tonal possibilities are endless!
New drum heads with varying thickness and geometry will be uploaded soon so users can experiment with new tones!
