Note: Please be aware the Alphanumeric backpacks are 0.54" and the 7-segment backpacks are 0.56".  Though they look almost identical they are slightly different sizes. For the purposes of 3D printing you need to choose the correct enclosure size.  This design is for the Alphanumeric 0.54" backpacks.

Designed for use with Circuit Python. Adafruit alphanumeric backpacks with built-in wifi device (Adafruit ESP32-S2) and small battery. It is portable after charging. The 150mah battery only lasts for a few hours.

Using 1-way mirror tint (cut to fit) in front of the displays which appears as a mirror when the display isn't in use. The film is an excellent diffusion material making the bright blue segments more enjoyable to look directly at.

The enclosure is a 2-piece snap-fit style specifically designed for these displays and an Adafruit feather (form factor) microcontroller.  Everything was mounted using M2x6mm screws, heat set directly into the PLA (no heat inserts used).

Black Latching Switch from Amazon

Each leg of the latching power switch wiring is soldered to the GND (black wire) and EN (red wire) pin on the feather. It turns the feather off regardless if it's USB or Battery powered… or even if it's both USB & Battery powered.  It's an on/off switch.
