This is a remixed project of the Mitutoyo Micrometer Battery Cover by GreatOldOne.
After printing the original design by GreatOldOne, to replace a broken Battery Cover for our 1-2” Mitutoyo Mic. I noticed that the fit was not as I expected as it was recessed and didn’t sit flush with the body of the mic.
About the Design:
I completely remodelled the part in Fusion 360, taking direct measurements from the original broken battery cover I have also included a dimensional drawing reference. I made a few improvements first; I cleaned up the start Thread (Fig.1) I also reduced the interference fit between the body and insert.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact & if you print it, please share your make and let me know the model of your micrometer.
