A refined version of the easter egg can be found here: https://www.printables.com/model/822685-openable-easter-egg-refined
------------------------------
I needed to create a "large" easter egg for my cousin's 2-year-old daughter. The egg had to be able to be opened to store candy inside. To mix the egg up a little, I added the daughter's name onto the egg and printed the name with the 2nd half using my SV04 IDEX printer.
The egg is designed in onshape, with the dimensions of an egg (22x33mm) mentioned in an onshape tutorial. I am very new to designing models, so there are things I did wrong or could have done better in the design (the open and closable part is very hard to change as it is right now).
The shape can be scaled up to a size you want, I scaled it to 460.61% to make the egg ~152mm long.
Print time: 13 - 18 hours, but can be sped up by lowering infill, etc.

Onshape information:
Part 1 = 1st half of easter egg, no name.stl
Part 2 = 2nd half of easter egg, place for name.stl
Part 3-6 = Name for easter egg (ALMA).stl
PRINT INFORMATION:
I printed my easter egg by turning the halves 90 degrees clockwise so the hole is facing the build plate. I used supports with 5% infill to make it easy to remove, and a support block in the 2nd half where the other part will fit into.
