Hi, I'm an amateur “bastlíř”. I'm the proud owner of a 3d printer i3 MK3S+ and I want to find out the limits of this printer and how else than 3dbenches. I want to share this experience with you. For each version I always write its pros and cons.
NEW Version 2.2:
“add pictures”
+ set correctly according to the rules
+ probably the fastest possible
+ prints in 6 minutes
- use prepared gcode or in slicer set speed to 4294967296 (2^32) and machine speed to 2147483647 (2^31-1) because prusaslicer can't store such big values and will store other ones instead
Version 0:
![]()
![]()
+ best quality
- print in 1h 20 min
Version 1.1:

![]()
+ prints only in 17 minutes
+ infill only under box on deck
- to much wasted filament
- holes in deck
Version 1.2:

![]()
+ prints in 18 minutes, but in much better quality
- 4% infill everywhere
- bad chimney
(here i upgraded stock cooling system to one that’s bit more effective - link here)
Version 1.3:

![]()
+ prints also in 18 minutes
+ improved chimney
+ 4% infill, except Z heights 18,44 mm - 36,68 mm and 40,20 mm - 50,00 mm
Version 1.4:
![]()
![]()
+ prints only in 17 minutes
+ faster movements (can possibly break your motors!!!)
- uses still the same infill (+ 4% infill, except Z heights …)
- can still be improved :)
- strange holes on whole body
Version 1.5:
![]()
![]()
+ prints only in 17 minutes
+ change location of seams
+ uses 2 primers (much higher quality)
+ uses only a 0,3 mm high layer (can go faster)
- the chimney broke again
Version 1.6:
- didn’t improve anithing
Version 1.7:
“add pictures”
+ fix chimney with seam position
+ faster print time (I recommed to use a glue for the best first layer)
Version 2.1:
“add pictures”
+ set correctly according to the rules
+ probably the fastest possible
+ prints in 22 minutes
