Screwdriver holder for IKEA's Skådis board. The holder is designed with an open slot. This allows easy removal and insertion of the screwdrivers. The length of the holders has been designed to allow them to be mounted side by side. The different holders will take three different sizes of screwdriver: large, medium and small. The file names describe the type of screwdriver for which the holder is intended to be used. The size of the holes for the different screwdrivers is 5 mm for the small screwdriver, 7 mm for the medium screwdriver and 9 mm for the large screwdriver.
The screwdriver holder is mounted on the Skadis board using a T-nut that is made to fit M3 screws. T-nuts ensure a strong and secure hold and are easy to install and remove by using a screwdriver. The screwdriver holder are available in two different versions, one with countersunk holes and the other with flat holes, depending on the type of screws you use. The screws that you will need to use should be about 12 mm in length.
Place the screw in the T-nut through the holes in the screwdriver holder and screw it in until the T-nut is about 2-3 mm from the back of the screwdriver holder, insert the T-nuts vertically through the Skadis holes, then as you tighten the screw the T-nut will turn and lock the screwdriver holder to the board.
You can find and download the matching T-nut here: Skadis T-nut for M3 screw.
