I have been working on using a baby gate during game/treat time to gradually reintroduce two cats who had experienced poor interactions in the past. My goal was to track and measure the height of the gate (and therefore the level of access the cats had to one another). I developed these risers to more precisely measure gate heights as we gradually raised the gate over the course of several weeks of controlled interaction.
These files include patterns for 60mm, 90 mm, 120 mm, 165 mm, 220 mm, and 224 mm gate risers, which could raise gates from just above the floor, to a height with plenty of space for a cat or small dog to pass under. We encourage people working with this technique to consult with an animal behavior consultant as needed.
I have included the FreeCad file for use if a more custom size is needed. Just adjust the sketch “Sketch001” Constraint 10 to adjust the height. Then, move Cube001 to cut into the top of the object.
I hope this is helpful for folks.
