Having always been a fan of the design of the Apple G5 case and always having boring generic cases I wanted to make something unique inspired by the G5 case.

There are quite some parts to this build, so don't think about printing this overnight. You will need;

  • Time, lots of it
  • ~2kg of filament
  • 162* M3 nuts
  • 30* M3x16mm bolts
  • 162* M3x12mm bolts
  • 4-7 motherboard standoffs and screws(depending on your motherboard size)
  • 0-7 Thumb screws (depending on your amount of PCI cards installed)
  • Your choice in vandal proof switch (I went with a silver switch and red LED)

After you gather your parts and you have printed out all parts the assembly should be straight forward, if not then please let me know and I'll try and help you as best as I can.

And if you have any idea's for improving the design please let me know or make a remix of the design with your new modifications so other people can also use them.

Don't have a printer yourself? Contact me on my Etsy store and I'll be happy to print it for you: https://www.etsy.com/shop/XDr4g0nX3DPrinting

Print Settings

Printer:

Gemstock MK2 - Almendine

Rafts:

Doesn't Matter

Supports:

Yes

Resolution:

0.2mm layer height

Infill:

20-50%

Notes:

The frame parts can be printed with a lower infill because they are larger and support each other, but for the smaller parts like the motherboard mounts use a higher infill for more rigidity.

Post-Printing =============

After printing, clean all parts properly as to not have any residue or static electricity lingering that could affect your parts.
