The original WLToys 12428 came with a small LiOn battery pack. But I want to drive longer and don't want to hazzle around with LiPo's in my household. So I choose a 5.000 mAh NiMH battery block.
So here are the steps:
- print this NiMH battery holder for your NiMH 6-cell-battery
- cut out the chasis in the battery region (like on my pics)
- put the battery with holder from the rear in the car
- save the holder in place with 2 metal clips for RC cars
- you're ready to drive - in my case 1,5-2 hours with this battery...
_______________
My print settings:
- Nozzle: 0.4 mm
- Resolution: 0.2mm
- Support: no
- Walls: 4-6
- Infill: 25%
- Printing time: 40min
