Greetings! This Model follows an instructable. It consists of both 3D prints, metal parts and electronics.
It’s always nice customizing your personal space, adding furniture and devices of your choosing, giving character to your room. But what if you make your own unique things? Now that’s a room with attitude!
My fond of all things space, existed since my childhood. I had glow-in-the-dark planets and stars on my ceiling, space exploration toys and so on. Growing into a DIY-er frequently got me across working in low light environment. Can’t have that now, can we? Thus one day I got “enlightened” with this idea. “I ‘ll make a bright ceiling lamp, space style!”

Design Inspiration
To design this model I had to think forward. But the steps were simple.
-First I found a picture of a satellite to my liking, something clear and with as much information as possible. Using the mentioned image as guide, I designed an identical model.
-Since this build is using electronics and other parts, not to mention it hangs from the ceiling. The next thing was to design the power supply which is housed inside the model. Making a solid half of the "Middle shaft" and then extruding the modeled power supply unit was the way to go.
-Lastly I measured the dimensions of the metal parts, this allowed me to make the "wing holders" and the appropriate holes so every part would fit together.
