I rebuilt my earlier design from scratch (uploaded to thingiverse years ago) in order to make more efficient use of space and solve a few pet peeves after years of use.

This case holds:

  • 3, 7-die sets
  • pencil
  • minis (42.5mm clearance)
  • additional dice storage in rolling area (19mm clearance)

Changes from previous model:

  • interlocking case design, now the case doesn't pop open when dropped
  • TPU padded compartments to protect dice and reduce noise (the finish on my metal dice are in rough shape after rubbing together)
  • a second larger rolling area to allow for more dice
  • deeper rolling areas to keep dice from popping out
  • drop in dice tower that integrates into the larger rolling area

Non printable components & accessories:

Note that if you are using my slicing settings from the 3mf files, I change nozzles sizes for different parts. My tests have found that transparent PETG looks great with thick layers and a 0.8 nozzle, but the thin walls on the die inserts in particular need at least 2 perimeters to get good attachment, so I print those with 0.4 nozzle. I print the top insert with a 0.6 nozzle just speed it up.

The only supports required are for the tower and the tower baffles. The tower baffles will have enough flex to get them into place.
