Succesfully tested rocket!

A rocket that can easily be printed with the vase mode in three parts. The rocket is a bit over half a meter tall but a Prusa Mini can still print it as each part is exactly 180mm tall. So everyone can easily become a rocket scientist. I already designed the rocket to fly in a stable path but if you want to change something you can use the .f3d file and easly change the parameter in the parameter list (the parameters are in German but you can translate them or just try out which one changes what) . please use my slicer profile to slice the file as I modified it heavily. Please check for the aerodynamic stability when doing any modifications. The formulas can be found online.

IMPORTANT: To ensure seam connection, increase the extrusion multiplier to 1.25! This setting can be either found within the filament settings or you can change it directly on your printer. 

I used a class B solid rocket motor (B4-4). It is 18mm by 70mm and can easily be bought online. A class C or D may also be possible. There is space in the top of the rocket to place a parachute in it.

Assembly: Glue the bottom part and the middle part together by pushing the middle part around 10 mm into the top of the bottom part. You may need some sanding to get a nice and easy fit. Now check if the top part can be put on top of the other two parts (Do not use glue) the top should slide in and not move around, but you should be able to pull it out with not too much force. Sand the part if needed. Now glue a 30 cm rubber band with one end into the inside of the top part and one end into the top end of the middle part. Now all you need to do is to attatch a parachute of around 30cm of diameter to the top part. You can buy a parachute or build one yourself. There are a lot of videos online that can explain better how to build one than I could. Now you can start the rocket.

Launch: You will need a launch pad. If you already own one, use it. If you do not own one, you can  push a metal rod into the ground and use it (lenght at least 1 meter). I included files for the bottom part of the rocket so you can use a wide range of rods with different diameters. I will also soon upload a 3d printed launch pad. Please follow all safety instructions that come with the rocket engines and maybe a bit of common sense when starting the rocket. Best of luck and launch in t minus
