Do you want to separate the mainboard from your 3d printer? You can try this!

IMPORTANT: I personally designed it for the Robin Nano V1.2 from my Twotrees Sapphire Plus, but it seems that all the mainboards from the nano family have the same dimensions. I uploaded a picture of the critical dimensions (hole distance and mainboard dimensions). Please make sure your board is compatible before printing.

How to assemble it:            (watch the pictures)

  • Put the heat set inserts.
  • If you want to secure the enclosure trough the bottom mount holes, do it now.
  • Use the M3x8 screws to secure the mainboard to the bottom.
  • Use the M3x12 screws and the M3 nuts to fix the 4010 fans to the top.
  • Use the M3x40mm to secure the top part to the bottom trough the 2 holes.
  • The best way to install the panels is to insert one edge it into the guide of the first leg, then slightly bend the panel and slide into the guide of the second leg.

This model is composed by:

  • A top part, where the fans are mounted.
  • A bottom part, which also includes a mounting solution 80x60mm, available for both M3 and M4 screws.
  • The side panels, which can be personalized.

Printing tips:

  • Top part: When you print it, be sure to set a high minimum layer time to limit speed, so that the mounting legs have a good dimensional accuracy, needed for interfacing the side panels.
  • Side panels: Customize your sidepanels as you prefer: I suggest you use 3-4 walls, 0 top and bottom layers and the infill type and density you prefer. If you download the .3mf file, you can see some print modifiers; you can use them to force the creation of extra walls in the bottom part to strengthen the side panels in their most critical part.

Materials needed:

  • 2*M3x8mm screws
  • 2*M3x40mm screws
  • 4* M3 heat set inserts
  • 2*4010 fans
  • 4-8*M3x12mm screws
  • 4-8*M3 hexagonal nuts
