After printing a Prusacaster, I needed somewhere to display it… that would be portable enough to fit in my guitar bag. So I've created a small, compact and collapsable guitar stand.  This device was designed to be printed with some PLA (white + turquoise in images) and some TPU components (black in images). The TPU components ensure that all touchpoints with the guitar are relatively “soft”.

The stand uses an M4 bolt-driven knob to tighten and loosen the position lock, allowing the stand to expand from its collapsed position, up to 45º. The top components include hard stops to prevent the stand from opening further. The axel operates by embedding an M4 nut in the knob, then driving the bolt through the two top components, and tightening the knob to sandwich the top components together. The bolt head is hidden beneath the “Top Stopper” component.

I recommend you put a few drops of super glue (3-5) in the slots that connect to the rods to make sure the printed components don’t spin about the rods under the load of the guitar.

Non-Printed Components:

2x Stainless steel rods (8mm x 300mm)

1x M4x20mm bolt

1x M4 Nut

4x M3x10 bolts (optional - used as set screws against the steel rods)

Note: The stand is sized to fit many electric and acoustic guitars, but fit may vary depending on your specific model.
