Neato Botvac dustbin clamp

After a few years of use the dustbin was not latching to the vacuum cleaner and this rendered the vacuum cleaner…

Worked amazingly for 3 days (printed PLA with 99 walls and 100% infill) and broke at the same point as the original part, unfortunately. As stated before, this has nothing to do with the model, it was a bad design from the get-go. Going to try a different orientation this time around. Does anyone print one that has lasted a long time? What orientation did you use?

Had to print this twice. The first time around the latch portion broke while installing. Ironically the reason I had to print this in the first place was because of the broken latch. Neato picked a bad design for this part, to no fault of the person making this stl. I would recommend anyone printing this to print the latch portion with a 100% infill mesh modifier around that area where it connects with the rest of the body. Otherwise it is a faithful representation and fit nicely in my Botvac D5. Thank you for the model! (edited)

The original part fails because of a narrow part. I tried 3 different orientations and support patterns before I got a strong latch. I normally print petg with no fan, but printing this way makes the supports nearly impossible to remove. The settings that worked for me were to use 30% fan and bump up the temp 5 degrees (245 from 240). Supports removed without damage and the latch is strong. Great print, matches the original perfectly

This looks amazing, and made me realize the clamp is part of a small assembly. You wouldn't by chance have any disassembly notes?

UPDATE: iFixit has a detailed article.

UPDATE: Printed in black PETG. First assembly resulted in a failure to latch. Discovered that I was not careful enough (and patient enough) with support removal. Some residual support material was preventing a proper fit. Works now, and the vacuum is charging for the first time in years. (edited)
