This rocket is designed to fly A/B/C class 18mm rocket motors with quick installation.  With a properly tuned printer, no supports are needed.  If you have any issues with threading the cap, you may need to slightly scale it down in the x and y planes.

PLA is a perfect starting point, though it is not ideal for long term exposure in outdoor conditions.  PETG is an excellent alternative, though nylon tends to hold up even better.

I recommend 3 walls for all parts, and printing the nosecone with at least 60% infill to create more forward mass, increasing the flight stability.  As an alternative you can add clay into the nosecone.  No more than 7 grams should be required all the way up to the C class motor.

Print Time is around 6 hour for all components at 0.20 mm layer height.

This is my first upload of a print, so please let me know what issues you have so I can update the models.

Instructions for assembly:

  1. Tie a shock cord and streamer to the Nosecone Cap and to the mounting point inside the main body tube (see photos).  Burn paper (wadding) should be used to prevent burning of the cord or streamer.
  2. Set motor into the Tailcone and screw into base of airframe (no glue required!)
  3. Install igniter, set on launch rail, and fly!

NOTE: If you create too much pressure (from the wadding or a tight nosecone) you can fail the body tube.  The reinforced stl can help with this, but some experimentation is required to get your flight settings just right.  Rockets are hard!
