This rocket is designed to fly A/B/C class 18mm rocket motors with quick installation. With a properly tuned printer, no supports are needed. If you have any issues with threading the cap, you may need to slightly scale it down in the x and y planes.
PLA is a perfect starting point, though it is not ideal for long term exposure in outdoor conditions. PETG is an excellent alternative, though nylon tends to hold up even better.
I recommend 3 walls for all parts, and printing the nosecone with at least 60% infill to create more forward mass, increasing the flight stability. As an alternative you can add clay into the nosecone. No more than 7 grams should be required all the way up to the C class motor.
Print Time is around 6 hour for all components at 0.20 mm layer height.
This is my first upload of a print, so please let me know what issues you have so I can update the models.
Instructions for assembly:
NOTE: If you create too much pressure (from the wadding or a tight nosecone) you can fail the body tube. The reinforced stl can help with this, but some experimentation is required to get your flight settings just right. Rockets are hard!
