Smartphone mount for indoor rowing machine (Concept2 Rower PM5 monitor)

You want to use your smartphone on a Concept2 indoor rowing machine, and not ruin your posture while doing so? Now you can!

As a rowing coach I did not like it when my rowers put their smartphone on the handlemount, because it makes them look down and this is bad for their posture. So I designed and printed this simple model to clamp all kinds of smartphones to the top of the monitor. This little invention became quite popular, so therefore I will share my design here.

Please take note:

• Print two units, because one is unstable
• Might not fit larger smartphones
• Will not fit older (thicker) monitors, such as PM4, PM3, etc.
• Any material, layer height and infill is acceptable, so PLA is fine (as long as the units are only clamped on the monitor when in use, continuous clamping for extended time might reduce clamping force).
• Use it if you need it. For some particular training sessions, using a smartphone will increase performance, but this is certainly not always the case.
