There are lots of good ideas out there for dry box solutions.  I remixed this to add a magnetic cap and cap holder amongst some other tweaks.

The magnets I used can be found here.  They are not super strong as they're only ferrite magnets.  You may want neodymium, but I don't find it necessary.  The magnet in the passthrough is compressed and held in place simply by the filter cap mating to the pass though.  The magnet on the cap is held in place with a drop of CA glue.

I forego the M10 PTFE quick disconnect tube as well as the M10 hollow connector.  I use about 70mm of PTFE tubing inside of the container, and none sticking out.  There is room in the cap to have a maximum of 10mm of PTFE tube sticking out of the outside of your air tight container.

The container I happened to use in the pictures are sterilite 38qt airtight containers from Wal-Mart which are good enough for 5 1kg spools.  The support I designed is for standard wooden closet hangar rods.  I applied low friction tape to the outside of the wooden rods to prevent the spools from binding up.  There's also small separators included to keep the spools from touching eachother.

I printed the gasket and cap holder, which also serves as a gasket for the outside, out of TPU.  The rest I printed in ASA.  I'm sure it can be done in PLA but I prefer the rigidity of ASA when using threads.

I would say the downside(s) to my design, which is also a pretty common flaw, is rewinding spools when done and replacing spent spools but honestly it just doesn't happen often enough to really affect my productivity.
