This is an improved version of my previous design, it doesn't need any hardware anymore and better holds guides in place.
The switch is compatible with standard lego city tracks, it features spring action allowing train to come in from both directions while maintaining selected position (similar to how standard lego switch functions). A short video of spring action https://imgur.com/a/tzJXaQ7
The length of each branch is 1.5 of standard R40 curve pieces so, an STL with 0.5 curve piece is also attached.

WYE switch R40 V3 base LP.stl main mechanical part
WYE switch R40 V3 extension non mechanical switch part with diverging tracks. It is compatible with previous design so you can save some time and reuse that piece from there
WYE switch R40 V3 pusher LP.stl low profile lever, improved comparing to the original design with an elevated T shape handle. This part is sensitive to elephant foot, in case if it doesn't slide well try to trim excess plastic with a knife that will likely help, also make sure that top surfaces which slide inside the base piece need to be relatively smooth to avoid binding.
WYE switch R40 V3 guide a.stl and WYE switch R40 V3 guide b.stl are left and right rail guides, they are mirrored copies of the same part
switch R40 guide pin.stl retaining pin holding moving guides in place. That is the only part which requires supports but they are small and easy to remove
curve R40 short standard.stl is required to compensate 0.5 of the curve length and angle in case you need to build a closed contour.
