Sometimes all you need is the tiniest of boxes, just to bring the pills of the day with you, in a container that would barely show through the tightest of pant pockets, even because of its rounded edges. Here it is.
Best printed at low layer heights because of the fine details of the hinges and the lid lip (I printed it at 0.10 mm on an AnkerMake M5) and it does need a well-tuned printer (overextruding printers might make it hard to make the filament go through the hinge).
It has been designed to be printed with no need for supports.
It uses a piece of filament as the pivot for the hinge. Slide it through, let ~2mm stick out from one side, melt it to the side hinge with the help of a soldering iron (set it at the printing temperature for your filament) or a flat screwdriver tip heated on the stove (in my experience, 25-30 secs suffice). Trim the other side at the same length, and repeat.
Through thorough user testing 😁 our QA team has found out that people with long nails find it easier to open the version with the notch, and people without them find it easier to open the version with the two tabs. You can see the two versions together in the last picture: notch on the left, tabs on the right.
