This is a slight remix of multiple fan mods.

It has:

  • A heatsink fan side that includes a recessed space for a M3 nut (or locknut, as I used), slightly enlarged as I was having a hard time getting MakeCents' version to take a nut without risking damage. The pressure clip has been removed as that didn't work for me and is replaced with the side clip from ograf.
  • The side clip that holds the heatsink side in place.
  • The part fan cover from MakeCents' version that includes an extra part on the bottom with a recessed slot to hold a part fan shroud. I actually am not using the slot currently for my current Spriya fan shroud, but just having the extra length is enough to block the fan shroud from falling off. If I have time later maybe I'll update the Spriya fan to have the matching locking tab.
  • The extruder fan/heatsink spacer by AZDawg.
    Hardware used:

  • Hinge is a M3x45mm pan head screw, with an M3 washer between the head and the printed part and held together at the bottom with an M3 locknut. The locknut means you can tighten up the screw to make it even more solid to prevent any vibration/buzzing if needed.

  • Part fan cover uses 2 M3x30mm socket cap screws.
  • Extruder fan cover uses 2 M3x30mm flathead screws (had to counter sink on inside of heat sink) with 2 M3 locknuts. Would be better with M3x35mm screws to fit all the way in the locknuts but I don't have convenient access to these.
  • Extruder heat block held in with 2 M3x30mm flathead screws (had to countersink heat block).
Apologies for not adding additional remix references, as Thingiverse apparently has bug preventing me from doing so.
