Ice Fishing Rod

Wanted to make some ice fishing rods, modeled these and printed them and fished with them on the same day.

Rotate the parts to print on their flat side. Modeled it so no supports are required.

Used a 16 3/8 inch wooden dowel, the parts fit in tight and I didn't need glue. I added holes for some large zip ties for the spool. Also added a bit of electrical tape to keep the ends from snagging my line.

The stand needs two more dowels and a short one for the rod support clip.

I guess you can print your own plastic rod if you don't have a wood one. I added the model but haven't tested it.
